This Privacy Policy describes how Mira ("we", "our", or "the App") handles your information when you use our iOS application. Mira helps people who live with migraine track their symptoms and see a personal risk forecast. Your privacy is fundamental to how the App is built.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect or sell your personal data.
Mira is local-first. There is no sign-up and no login. The health information you enter stays on your device and is never sent to us.
Everything you log in Mira — including your migraine history, attack records, daily check-ins, journal entries, menstrual cycle information (if you choose to add it), medications, and the risk forecasts generated for you — is stored only on your device using Apple's on-device storage. We have no servers that store this information and we cannot access it.
If you allow it, the App uses your approximate location to fetch local weather — including barometric pressure trends, a known migraine factor — through Apple WeatherKit. Location and weather are processed to produce your forecast on your device. Apple processes WeatherKit and location requests under Apple's Privacy Policy. If you decline location access, you can enter a city manually and the App still works.
If you use the in-app assistant, the messages you send and a small amount of privacy-safe context (such as your current risk level, general factors, and aggregate counts — never your free-text notes or anything that identifies you) are sent to our processing service and a third-party AI provider solely to generate a response. This content is used only to answer your message and is not used to build a profile of you or sold to anyone. Please avoid including information that could identify you in chat messages.
Subscriptions are processed by Apple and managed through our subscription provider, RevenueCat, using an anonymous identifier. We do not receive your name, email, or payment details from these purchases. RevenueCat processes subscription status under its own privacy policy. Purchases are governed by Apple's standard terms.
To understand how people discover Mira, the App may use Apple Search Ads attribution and Meta measurement tools. These run only if you grant permission through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. If you decline, no tracking takes place and every feature still works.
The App can send you local reminders and high-risk-day alerts. These are generated and scheduled on your device. There is no push server, and notifications do not transmit your data to us.
You can erase all of your data at any time from Profile → Delete all my data. This permanently removes your profile, logs, and settings from your device. Because your data lives on your device, uninstalling the App also removes it.
Mira is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Mira provides general information and estimates and is not a medical device or a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult a qualified healthcare provider.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review it periodically.
